Pirates activate David Freese from disabled list

Pittsburgh Pirates infielder David Freese was activated from the 10-day disabled list.

What It Means:

Freese didn't need to go through a rehab assignment before getting activated. Prior to being placed on the disabled list with a strained hamstring at the end of April, the 34-year-old veteran turned in a .321/.418/.536 slash with three home runs in 67 plate appearances (18 games).

numberFire's models project Freese to record a .271 batting average in 328 plate appearances over the rest of the year while hitting nine home runs and 39 RBI's.
