Brandon McCarthy (shoulder) lands on Dodgers' disabled list
The Los Angeles Dodgers placed starting pitcher Brandon McCarthy on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to May 5, with a separated left shoulder.
McCarthy injured the shoulder in a weight room accident on Friday and felt fine, but the club is playing it safe with the pitcher. He will throw a bullpen session on Wednesday and will be eligible to return and start next Monday.
McCarthy owns a 3.10 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, 3-0 record, and 25 strikeouts in 29 innings pitched this season.
