Ty Blach blasted for 10 runs over just three Giants' innings

San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Ty Blach was hammered for 10 runs in three innings during Saturday's loss to the Cincinnati Reds.

What It Means:

The Reds blew him apart for 11 hits, including two home runs. Blach walked one and failed to strike out a batter. He began the season in the Giants' bullpen and moved into the rotation when Madison Bumgarner went on the disabled list.

Blach began the day with a 2.55 ERA and ended it with a 5.66 ERA through 20 2/3 innings this year. Our models project him for 58 1/3 more innings pitched, with a 3.09 ERA, 13.8 percent strikeout rate, and 8.4 percent walk rate.
