Eric Thames clobbers 11th home run of season as Brewers obliterate Cincinnati
Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Eric Thames delivered his 11th home run Tuesday in a 9-1 demolition of the Cincinnati Reds.
If you only counted the eight that Thames has hit off Cincinnati pitchers this season, he would still have more home runs than anyone else in the majors. The 30-year-old outfielder is also up to 14 walks in 20 games on the year. Put simply, Thames is absolutely crushing it in his first year back after spending the past three seasons playing in the Korean Baseball Organization.
In addition to the taters, across 85 plate appearances this season, Thames is also leading all big league batters in wins above replacement (1.9), ISO (.557), slugging percentage (.929), wOBA (.569) and runs scored (25).
