Eric Thames slugs a pair of longballs in Brewers' victory
Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Eric Thames added two more home runs to his total and drew two more walks Monday in an 11-7 defeat of the Cincinnati Reds.
Thames knocked a solo shot in the first inning and then added a two-run rocket in the second before finishing with two walks in his final three plate appearances. His 16.0 walk percentage is well above the 5.6 percent clip he averaged in his two previous seasons in the big leagues.
Across 81 plate appearances (19 games) this season, Thames owns a .373/.481/.910 slash with 10 home runs and 17 RBI's.
