Rangers giving Jonathan Lucroy the day off on Friday
The Texas Rangers are giving catcher Jonathan Lucroy the day off on Friday as they face the Kansas City Royals.
Lucroy caught all 13 innings of Thursday's marathon win and is getting a deserved night off on Friday. Robinson Chirinos will catch and bat sixth for Texas.
Lucroy is off to a slow start this season. He is batting .191/.224/.277 with one home run, four RBI's, and five runs scored in 49 plate appearances.
