J.A. Happ has elbow inflammation, likely headed to Toronto's disabled list
Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher J.A. Happ was diagnosed with inflammation in his left elbow, according to Steve Phillips of The Sports Network.
Happ will probably need to spend some time on the disabled list, but he's fortunately not dealing with anything too serious. Aaron Sanchez (blister) is also unavailable, so look for the Blue Jays to call up at least one of Mat Latos, Casey Lawrence and T.J. House.
Through three starts (16 innings) this season, Happ owns a decent 4.50 ERA, but his much more impressive 2.13 xFIP is on pace for a career high.
