The Los Angeles Angels are giving first baseman/designated hitter Albert Pujols (rest) the night off on Monday against the Houston Astros.

What It Means:

The 37-year-old is getting a routine night off as the Angels kick off a three-game series in Houston. Jefry Marte will fill in at designated hitter and bat seventh versus right-hander Charlie Morton.

Pujols has gotten off to a slow start this season batting .200/.259/.280 with one home run, eight RBI's and three runs scored in 54 plate appearances.
