Rangers' Adrian Beltre diagnosed with Grade 1 strain of right calf
Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 strain of his right calf.
Beltre was working his way towards a return to the field after beginning the 2017 campaign on the 10-day disabled list due to a right calf strain, but after experiencing renewed tightness on Saturday while trying to run, he's basically going to have to start over with his rehab. Joey Gallo will continue filling in at third for Texas, who won't have Beltre back until at least May.
Through seven games, Gallo is slashing .174/.296/.435 with two dingers, seven RBI's, four runs scored and a steal across 27 plate appearances.
