Braves' A.J. Pierzynski gets Wednesday off for rest
Atlanta Braves catcher A.J. Pierzynski will get Wednesday off as the Braves face the San Diego Padres.
This is a scheduled day of rest for Pierzynski, who had caught each of the past three games. Ryan Lavarnway will fill the void behind the dish and bat eighth.
Lavarnway doesn't figure to be a fantasy option as the Braves face Tyson Ross. Lavarnway has a .206/.299/.324 slash, though that does come with a 30.8 percent hard-hit rate.
