A's shut down Sonny Gray for the next three weeks
Oakland A's pitcher Sonny Gray will be shut down for the next three weeks due to a moderate lat strain.
Gray was lit up in his last spring training start, allowing seven runs in just two innings on Tuesday. The injury will sideline the 27-year-old into the regular season and puts his availability for the month of April in question. He is best left as a risky late-round flier in fantasy drafts.
Gray is coming off a horrific 2016 where he posted a 5.69 ERA and 1.50 WHIP whit a 5-11 record in 117.0 innings pitched.
