Nationals interested in White Sox's David Robertson, but nothing brewing
The Washington Nationals remain interested in Chicago White Sox closer David Robertson, per Phil Rogers of MLB.com, but he says "nothing seems imminent" in trade talks.
Robertson to the Nationals has been mentioned throughout the winter, but they may want to wait and get a better look at him during the World Baseball Classic before deciding to make a move. The right-hander will be 32 in April and is due $25 million over the next two seasons.
Robertson twirled a 3.47 ERA and 1.36 WHIP across 62 1/3 innings for the White Sox last season, but his 28.1 strikeout percentage was a sizable fall from his 34.4 percent clip in 2015.
