Dodgers' Yasiel Puig avoids arbitration, sticking with original contract

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig won't opt in to arbitration this offseason, reports Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

What It Means:

Puig will be arbitration-eligible in 2019. He's due to make $6.5 million in 2017 and $7.5 million in 2018, but will likely be in a plethora of trade rumors this offseason.

Puig slashed .263/.323/.416 for the Dodgers last season with career-lows in both wOBA (.320) and ISO (.153). He posted 11 home runs and 45 RBI's across 368 plate appearances (104 games).
