Greg Holland drawing significant interest from Red Sox
Free agent reliever Greg Holland is drawing particular interest from the Boston Red Sox, who are "among the most aggressive suitors" for the right-hander, according to Rob Bradford of WEEI.
There are several teams displaying a "similar level of interest," Bradford added. Holland is currently rehabbing from Tommy John surgery and underwhelmed while performing for teams during a recent showcase. His track record from 2011-2014 should still earn him a multi-year contract, assuming he stays on track to return for the beginning of the 2017 season.
Holland owns a career 2.42 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 33.2 strikeout percentage across 319 2/3 total innings from 2010-2015.
