Clayton Kershaw did day-before-start workout Monday, in line to pitch Game 4

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw did his usual day-before-a-start workout routine on Monday.

What It Means:

Rookie left-hander Julio Urias is currently tagged as the starter, but Kershaw seems ready to toe the rubber on short rest in Game 4 of the National League Divisional Series, in what may turn out to be an elimination game for the Dodgers. Game 3 of the best-of-five affair is scheduled for Monday night with the series currently tied 1-1.

Kershaw did his part in Game 1 of the NLDS, conceding three runs on eight hits through five innings while picking up the valuable postseason victory. The 28-year-old southpaw finished the regular season with an impressive 1.69 ERA and 0.76 WHIP over 149 innings pitched. His 31.6 strikeout rate was the third time in as many seasons he has recorded a clip above 30.0 percent.
