Giants' Johnny Cueto to undergo MRI on groin Wednesday
San Francisco Giants pitcher Johnny Cueto will undergo an MRI on his injured groin on Wednesday.
Cueto tried to stay in the game on Tuesday when he strained his left groin, but ended up being forced to make an early exit. If the MRI comes back clean, he may not be forced to miss any additional time.
It has been another solid year for Cueto, with a 2.79 ERA and 3.65 SIERA through 31 starts. His 22.0 percent strikeout rate and 5.2 percent walk rate are both better than his career averages.
