Braves' Williams Perez dealing with elbow impingement
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Williams Perez has been diagnosed with an elbow impingement and could miss the remainder of the 2016 season.
Perez was an early exit from Sunday's contest against the Mets due to the ailing elbow. He was just activated from the disabled list on September 2 and has only been available for 11 games this season. With this diagnosis, we don't expect the 25-year-old right-hander to toe the rubber again in 2016.
Across 53 2/3 innings this year, Perez will likely finish with a 6.04 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 11.6 strikeout percentage.
