Alejandro De Aza leads Mets to victory with five RBI's
New York Mets outfielder Alejandro De Aza had a home run and five RBI's on 2-for-4 hitting Thursday as the Mets scored a 10-6 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.
De Aza was filling in for Jay Bruce, who was out with calf cramps, and he stepped up in a big way, playing a key role in the win.
The 32-year-old De Aza has not been very productive from the dish this season, slashing an ugly .196/.291/.324 through 204 plate appearances with a .274 wOBA that is his worst since his 2007 rookie season.
