Orioles' Chris Tillman (shoulder) placed on the disabled list
Baltimore Orioles pitcher Chris Tillman has been placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to August 21, with inflammation in his right shoulder.
The Orioles are hopeful that he will be ready to return to the rotation as soon as he is eligible on September 5.
While Tillman's 3.76 ERA is a big improvement from last season, he is still sporting a shaky 4.56 SIERA that falls below his career average.
