Orioles' Chris Tillman (shoulder) questionable for Thursday
Baltimore Orioles pitcher Chris Tillman (shoulder) is now questionable for his start on Thursday against the Washington Nationals.
Over the last few weeks, Tillman has been battling shoulder discomfort and apparently a between-starts workout did not go well on Tuesday afternoon. Orioles manager Buck Showalter said he will decide on Wednesday about who will start Thursday's contest. It's likely that there won't be any updates prior to then. Tillman owns a 3.76 ERA in 153 innings pitched this season.
Tillman's 4.48 xFIP suggests he's had some luck on his side this year, while his 20.00 strikeout percentage is below the league average (20.99 percent). We currently project him to record a 4.04 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP over the remaining course of the season.
