Orioles activate Matt Wieters from paternity leave
The Baltimore Orioles activated catcher Matt Wieters from the paternity leave list.
On Saturday, Wieters was excused from the team in order to welcome his child into the world. He's back in the lineup on Monday, starting behind the plate and hitting seventh. Wieters is slashing .240/.294/.381 with 10 home runs and 45 RBI's across 340 plate appearances this year.
Wieters owns a .291 wOBA this season, which is a career low, and his .141 ISO is his lowest total since 2010. We project him to hit three more taters and post a .703 OPS over the remaining course of the year.
