Sam Dyson earns 25th save, Rangers top Rockies
Texas Rangers closer Sam Dyson nailed down his 25th save of the season Tuesday in a 7-5 win over the Colorado Rockies.
Dyson allowed two to touch on Tuesday afternoon, with DJ LeMahieu smacking a one-out double, and Nolan Arenado receiving a free pass with two outs on the scoreboard. He then closed out the victory by instigating a groundout from Gerardo Parra. The two clubs will now take the matchup to Arlington for a pair of contests. Dyson's role as the closer for Texas seems secure after some recent struggles.
Dyson owns a 2.58 ERA and 17.06 strikeout percentage across 52 1/3 innings of work this season. He has just three blown saves in 28 opportunities on the year.
