Dodgers' Ross Stripling likely to start on Saturday
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Ross Stripling is likely to start on Saturday versus the Boston Red Sox.
Jose De Leon, one of their top prospects, was also being considered, but Stripling is expected to get the start. Stripling owns a 4.14 ERA in 54 1/3 innings this season, starting eight times and making four relief appearances. He doesn't make for a good streaming option against the Red Sox, who own the highest team wOBA this season at .350.
Stripling's 4.16 xFIP this season is right in line with his ERA and his 17.47 strikeout percentage is below the league average (21.02 percent). We project him to record a 3.74 ERA and a 14.55 strikeout percentage over the remaining course of the season.
