Austin Martin absent Friday for Minnesota
Minnesota Twins outfielder Austin Martin is not in the lineup for Friday's series opener against right-hander Jack Flaherty and the Detroit Tigers.
What It Means:
Martin will return to the bench after covering center field last game. Byron Buxton will take back over in the middle of the outfield, while Ryan Jeffers will shift to designated hitter. Christian Vazquez will catch for Joe Ryan and bat eighth. Alex Kirilloff will hit third and Trevor Larnach will work out of the cleanup spot.
