Tim Beckham collects five hits in Rays' blowout win
Tampa Bay Rays second baseman Tim Beckham went 5-for-5 with a double and two RBI's in Wednesday's 11-3 win over the Colorado Rockies.
Beckham's RBI's came in the third and sixth innings on two separate singles, and the five hits were easily a career-best day at the plate for the Rays' youngster. He raised his batting average 38 points after his five hit day, but the youngster has still struggled with the big club this year.
Beckham owns a .213/.280/.407 slash line with three homers and 10 RBI's over 119 plate appearances. Our models project him to post a .279 wOBA with three homers and 10 RBI's left this year.
