Felix Hernandez activated for Mariners on Wednesday
The Seattle Mariners activated starting pitcher Felix Hernandez from the 15-day disabled list on Wednesday.
Hernandez will make his first start since May 27th after going down with a calf strain. He struck out seven guys over four innings of no-hit work on Friday in his final rehab start with Triple-A Tacoma.
Hernandez struggled uncharacteristically through 10 starts this season, twirling a 4.41 SIERA, 19.92 percent strikeout rate and 9.77 percent walk rate that all represent the worst marks of his career. His 1.46 nERD ranks only 139th in the majors.
