Ketel Marte returns to Mariners' bench
Seattle Mariners shortstop Ketel Marte (flu) is out again Tuesday.
What It Means:
Marte returned to the Mariners' lineup on Sunday after an ankle injury cost him a game, but now he should be considered day-to-day after coming down with a stomach virus on Monday. Shawn O'Malley will start at shortstop and leadoff for Seattle against White Sox southpaw Jose Quintana.
Marte has 19 RBI's and eight steals on the year, while posting a meager .284 wOBA in 300 plate appearances. Our models currently project him to record a .302 wOBA with 17 RBI's and another six steals over the remainder of the season.
