Shin-Soo Choo (back) remains on Rangers' sidelines
Texas Rangers outfielder Shin-Soo Choo (back) is out of the lineup again Monday against the Los Angeles Angels.
A lingering back injury has kept Choo out of commission since July 10, but the Rangers haven't decided whether or not to place him on the disabled list. Nomar Mazara is playing in right field on Monday, with Ryan Rua in left.
Choo has hit well when he's been on the field this season, slashing .274/.388/.496 with seven home runs, four stolen bases and a .385 wOBA in 139 plate appearances. Our models currently project him to hit .252/.346/.452 with five home runs, three steals and a .343 wOBA in 134 more appearances at the plate over the rest of the year.
