Matt Davidson fractures right foot in White Sox debut

Chicago White Sox third baseman/designated hitter Matt Davidson suffered a fractured right foot in Thursday's game against the Minnesota Twins.

What It Means:

Davidson was making his season debut for the White Sox on Thursday, so this is pretty crummy news for all involved parties. An official timetable hasn't been announced, but this will keep him on the shelf for an extended period of time. The 25-year-old was rounding first base on a base hit during the fourth-inning when he appeared to endure the injury.

Davidson was hitting .268/.349/.444 with a .357 wOBA across 326 appearances at the plate for Triple-A Charlotte. He accounted for 10 home runs and 46 RBI's on the year.
