Angels' Shohei Ohtani (elbow) undergoes successful surgery, aiming for return by Opening Day 2024
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Shohei Ohtani underwent successful surgery on his elbow on Tuesday, according to his agent, Nez Balelo.
Ohtani has already been placed on the injured list and ruled out for the rest of the 2023 season. According to his agent, Ohtani is expected to be "ready to hit without any restrictions come opening day of 2024" and hit & pitch "come 2025". Expect additional updates between now an opening day with free agency looming ahead.
