Alec Burleson on Cardinals bench Tuesday
St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Alec Burleson is not in the lineup on Tuesday against left-hander John Means and the Baltimore Orioles.
The left-handed hitting Burleson is taking a seat against a southpaw on Tuesday. Jordan Walker is shifting to designated hitter while Lars Nootbaar moves over to right field and Tyler O'Neill starts in left. Tommy Edman is covering the third outfield spot and hitting second while Paul Goldschmidt hits right behind him and starts on first. Nolan Gorman is manning the keystone and hitting seventh for the Cardinals.
numberFire’s models project Walker ($2,800) for 9.7 FanDuel points on Tuesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Cardinals' implied total is 4.46 and the game total is 10.5. Means is making his first major league appearance since April 2022 following a full recovery from Tommy John Surgery. He recorded a 3.74 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in rehab while striking out 22 across 21 2/3 innings.
