Adam Duvall on Boston bench Tuesday in first game
Boston Red Sox outfielder Adam Duvall is not in the lineup for Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against right-hander Randy Vasquez and the New York Yankees.
Duvall is absent for a third straight game after he went 0-for-13 with 10 strikeouts in his last three outings. The Red Sox are starting Masataka Yoshida, Wilyer Abreu, and Alex Verdugo across the outfield in Game 1 on Tuesday afternoon.
numberFire’s models project Verdugo ($7,000) for 13.8 FanDuel points and he's our top point-per-dollar value on the single-game slate Tuesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Red Sox's implied total is an inviting 5.10 and the game total is 9.5. Vasquez has been unimpressive through his first 26 2/3 innings in the majors, with a 5.51 xERA, 19.1% strikeout rate, 11.3% walk rate.
