Seattle acquires Wade LeBlanc, will start him Friday
The Seattle Mariners acquired left-handed pitcher Wade LeBlanc from the Toronto Blue Jays for a player to be named later.
What It Means:
Seattle will throw LeBlanc in the fire, slating him to start Friday against the St. Louis Cardinals. LeBlanc will be filling in for Taijuan Walker (foot).
Out of the bigs since 2014, LeBlanc was sporting a 1.71 ERA with 85 punch outs through 89 2/3 innings in Triple-A this season.
