Jake Marisnick joining Tigers bench Thursday
Detroit Tigers outfielder Jake Marisnick is not in the lineup for Thursday's series finale against right-hander Zack Wheeler and the Philadelphia Phillies.
What It Means:
The Tigers appear to be giving Marinsick a routine maintenance day. Tyler Nevin will join the outfield and hit eighth. Miguel Cabrera will also sit while Nick Maton starts at designated hitter and Jonathan Schoop takes care of things on the hot corner. Eric Haase will start at catcher over Jake Rogers and bat fifth.
