J.D. Davis sitting Wednesday afternoon for San Francisco
San Francisco Giants infielder J.D. Davis is not in the lineup against right-hander Joe Ryan and the Minnesota Twins in Wednesday afternoon's series finale.
Davis will move to the bench after going 0-for-4 with a walk, a run, and a whiff on Tuesday. Casey Schmitt will replace Davis on third base and bat seventh in Wednesday's matinee.
numberFire’s models project Schmitt ($3,100) for 8.1 FanDuel points on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Giants' implied total is fourth-lowest of the day at 3.37 and the game total is a pitcher-friendly 7.5. Ryan has the second-highest strikeout rate this season (30.4%) out of Wednesday's projected starters, to go with a 3.7% walk rate and 2.25 ERA.
