Orioles' Darren O'Day (hamstring) placed on disabled list
The Baltimore Orioles placed reliever Darren O'Day on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 2, with a right hamstring strain.
O'Day injured the hamstring while covering first base on Wednesday. He'll be on the shelf for at least a couple weeks.
O'Day has a 3.74 xFIP and an impressive 28.7 strikeout percentage in 20 innings pitched this season. Our models currently project him to record a 3.18 ERA and a 27.3 strikeout percentage over the remaining course of the season.
