Angels' Cliff Pennington (hamstring) officially back on the disabled list

Los Angeles Angels infielder Cliff Pennington has been put on the 15-day disabled list with a left hamstring strain.

What It Means:

Pennington had to be lifted from Tuesday's game when he tweaked his hamstring on an infield single in the seventh inning. The veteran second baseman just spent two weeks on the disabled list with a hamstring injury (activated from the disabled list on May 29).

Pennington has a .318 wOBA and one jack through 66 plate appearances. We project him to record a .272 wOBA in 123 plate appearances over the rest of the year.
