Shohei Ohtani confirmed as Angels' Opening Day starter
Los Angeles Angels two-way sensation Shohei Ohtani has been named the Opening Day starter versus the Oakland Athletics.
What It Means:
Ohtani will not take any time to recover after helping Japan win the World Baseball Championship. The 28-year-old recorded a 2.33 ERA and 1.01 WHIP with 219 strikeouts over 166 innings in 28 starts with the Angels last season.
