Giants' Matt Duffy departs game after being hit by a pitch
San Francisco Giants third baseman Matt Duffy was pulled from Monday's game against the Atlanta Braves after taking a pitch off his left wrist.
Duffy stayed in to run initially following a meeting with the Giants' trainer, but Kelby Tomlinson took over at third base when the inning turned. There should be an update from the Giants after the game. Duffy finished 0-for-2 with the HBP on Monday in Atlanta.
Duffy is now slashing .242/.307/.338, with two home runs, seven stolen bases, and a .287 wOBA in 218 plate appearances this season. Our models currently project him to hit .268/.320/.381 with six home runs, eight steals, and a .303 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
