Rangers' Shin-Soo Choo (hamstring) lands back on 15-day disabled list
The Texas Rangers placed outfielder Shin-Soo Choo on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 21, with a strained left hamstring.
Choo was activated from the disabled list Friday after missing more than a month with a calf strain, but his return lasted just three innings before he had to exit with a hamstring injury. Now he'll be out at least another two weeks. The Rangers have yet to announce a corresponding roster move, but Delino DeShields Jr. is expected to be on his way back from Triple-A.
Choo has played just six games this season and is hitting .188/.458/.188. Our models had projected him to hit .255/.353/.426 with 10 home runs and a .338 wOBA over the remaining course of the season, but he'll need to get healthy first.
