Yadier Molina's pinch-hit two-run double leads Cardinals to victory

St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina came through with a pinch-hit two-run double in the seventh inning on Sunday, propelling the Cardinals to a 5-2 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

What It Means:

The game was knotted in a 1-1 tie with two outs in the seventh inning when Molina was called upon to hit for Mike Leake. He lined the second pitch that he saw from Joe Blanton into left field for the go-ahead two-run double. Molina also came around to score in the inning.

He's now hitting a robust .333/.413/.439 with 16 RBI's across 150 plate appearances in a resurgent offensive season. Our models currently project Molina to bat .280/.339/.375 with a .312 wOAB over the remainder of the year.
