Seth Beer on Diamondbacks' bench Wednesday afternoon
Arizona Diamondbacks designated hitter Seth Beer is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Shane Bieber and the Cleveland Guardians.
What It Means:
Beer will take a seat after drawing starts in the first two games of the series and going a combined 0-for-8 with three strikeouts. Ketel Marte will take over at designated hitter while Emmanuel Rivera replaces Beer in the lineup to make his Diamondbacks debut.
