Stephen Piscotty (calf) starting Tuesday for Athletics

Oakland Athletics outfielder Stephen Piscotty (calf) is in the starting lineup on Tuesday against left-hander JP Sears and the New York Yankees.

What It Means:

The Athletics activated Piscotty off the injured list Tuesday after he missed over seven weeks with a strained left calf. Piscotty is the designated hitter and No. 7 batter while Chad Pinder starts in left field over Tony Kemp and bats seventh. Nick Allen is batting leadoff, followed by Ramon Laureano and Christian Bethancourt.

numberFire’s models project Piscotty for 7.3 FanDuel points on Tuesday, and he has a $2,000 salary. Bethancourt is projected for 11.0 FanDuel points with a $2,200 salary, which currently makes him our sixth-best point-per-dollar value among hitters on the Main slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Athletics’ implied total (3.47) is fourth-lowest out of the 28 teams available on the Main slate.
