Braves' Jace Peterson out of lineup again Friday
Atlanta Braves infielder Jace Peterson is not in the starting lineup on Friday against the New York Mets.
Peterson hasn't started a game at second base in over a week even with Gordon Beckham (hamstring) sidelined, although he's seen some time in left field. Daniel Castro is at second base again Friday and it appears he'll be the regular there while Beckham is out.
Peterson struggled to a line of .239/.314/.335 in 597 plate appearances last season, with a .287 wOBA, 6 home runs, and 12 stolen bases. He's off to a 7-for-32 (.219) start this season and our models currently project Peterson to post a .265 wOBA with 5 home runs and 10 stolen bases in 452 plate appearances in 2016. He'll fall short of these totals if he can't stay on the field, however.
