Blue Jays to be without Jesse Chavez on Thursday versus Baltimore
Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Jesse Chavez (back) won't be available for Thursday's game against the Baltimore Orioles.
What It Means:
He's still battling a sore back. The Blue Jays are hoping he'll return this weekend against the Oakland Athletics. Chavez has been sidelined since April 15.
Chavez owns a 2.08 ERA over five appearances this year. He also has a 1.39 WHIP and 42.11 strikeout percentage.
