Mets' Travis d'Arnaud (elbow) sitting again Monday
New York Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud (elbow) is out Monday as the Mets battle the Philadelphia Phillies.
The catcher also missed Sunday's series finale against the Cleveland Indians after leaving Saturday's game following a hit by pitch on his left elbow. X-rays came back negative, and d'Arnaud is listed as day-to-day. Kevin Plawecki will start at catcher on Monday night.
d'Arnaud slashed .268/.340/.485 with 12 home runs in just 268 plate appearances in 2015. His .355 wOBA would have ranked second best among catchers if he had enough plate appearances to qualify. d'Arnaud is off to just a 3-for-25 start (.120) this season, and our models project him to post a .326 wOBA with 15 home runs ins 399 plate appearances in 2016.
