Magneuris Sierra sitting for Marlins versus Padres
Miami Marlins outfielder Magneuris Sierra is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Ryan Weathers and the San Diego Padres.
The lefty-hitting Sierra has now been held out of the lineup in each of the last three games against southpaws. Lewis Brinson is shifting over to center field in place of Sierra and Bryan De La Cruz is entering the lineup to play right field and hit eighth. Jorge Alfaro is in left and hitting third.
numberFire’s models project Brinson for 9.1 FanDuel points and he has a $2,800 salary on Wednesday slate. Alfaro ($2,500) is projected for 8.4 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Marlins have the fifth-lowest implied total in the majors on Wednesday. Weathers' xBA (.275) ranks in the bottom nine percent of the league and his strikeout percentage (16.9) is in the bottom 10th percentile.
