Jesus Aguilar joining Marlins' bench Thursday afternoon

Miami Marlins first baseman Jesus Aguilar is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Rich Hill and the New York Mets.

What It Means:

Aguilar went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double on Wednesday. The homer and double were his 19th of the season in each category. Joe Panik is replacing Aguilar on first base Thursday afternoon and hitting sixth. Jorge Alfaro is moving up a few spots to hit third and fill the vacant spot in the order.
