Austin Riley resting for Atlanta Thursday afternoon
Atlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley is not in the lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Ross Stripling and the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Braves will give Riley a breather in Thursday's matinee. After going 0-for-16 over a four-game stretch, Riley is 5-for-13 with a pair of doubles over the last four games. Ehire Adrianza will start on third base Thursday and hit fifth.
numberFire’s models project Adrianza for 10.7 FanDuel points and he has a $2,000 salary on Thursday. He is our sixth-best point-per-dollar option among all active hitters. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Braves' implied total (4.7 runs) is the fourth-highest on the board.
