Minnesota Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers will start on Tuesday afternoon versus right-hander Zack Greinke and the Houston Astros in Game 1 of the Wild Card Round.
Jeffers will catch Kenta Maeda and bat eighth. He hit .273 with a .791 OPS in his first regular season in the majors. Alex Avila will be available off the bench Tuesday.
